Weekly Wrap Up: January 16-22, 2017

Happy Monday all you wonderful book lovers! I hope this day has brought you many cups of coffee and some well-deserved brain breaks (where you can come and read my blog .. obviously). Since I’ve started this blog, I’ve been doing some research into what makes a blog enticing, and how to sort of step away from the masses and BE UNIQUE. I feel there are so many different sites and while some are better then others, there does seem to be the repetitive nature of posts. New books coming out, book reviews on popular series, or even just chatty blog posts. These are all great, don’t get me wrong, but I want to be different. I’ve decided that I want to create a couple new features … and this is going to be one of them!

Welcome to my Weekly Wrap Ups!

Every Monday I will go over what has kept me entertained throughout the week. Whether it’s books, movies, tv shows, music, or even Etsy shops… I’ll go over what has tickled my fancy and how I’ve spent my free time! So without further ado, let’s get started!

Paper Princess by Erin Watt ( 5)
Broken Prince by Erin Watt (4)
Twisted Palace by Erin Watt (4)
Labyrinth Lost by Zoraida Córdova (2.75)
Dance Upon the Air by Nora Roberts (4)

Goodreads: 17/150

Equals (2015) starring Nicholas Hoult & Kristen Stewart (1)
Now, Nicholas Hoult is probably one of my favorite actors. Not only is he easy on the eyes, but he has some pretty good acting chops. Kristen Stewart on the other hand … I don’t think I need to explain how I feel about her. But this movie felt like a waste of time. I regret watching it. I wouldn’t suggest this movie to anybody.

No Tomorrow (4) – stupid funny tv show filmed in Vancouver that I’m obsessed with. Also thought the main actor was Australian. He’s British. Whoops. His accent tripped me up!

Heard About:
The Magicians – Honestly, I have no idea what this show is about. It was posted on a Facebook groupt hat  I am apart of and everyone in the comments said how good of a show it was and that that they couldn’t wait for season 2. I just need to find it online and then I’m binge-watching. Review to come.

FairyLoot Book Box – I’ve been following FairyLoot on Instagram for a while now, and it seems like they are one of the best book boxes out there. The contents of their boxes never seem to disappointed, and they pack a lot of stuff in there! However, because they are from the UK … I’ve always been hesitant to subscribe. Well, I caved this month and purchased February’s box (theme: Emperors and Fugitives) … Brie Wood .. this is all your fault!

Library Lights – if you don’t know this about me yet, I am addicted to bookish candles. And the worst/best part? They are taking over the Etsy world! There are so many shops out there, and I do have my favorites, but I came across this new shop and I AM IN LOVE. First of all, they are a Canadian shop, and I’m from Canada .. so MATCH MADE IN CANDLE HEAVEN. Second, the labels are beautiful! Marketing is a huge factor for me before I buy. Many shops, I feel, don’t put a lot off effort into this and just want to put a product out quickly to help supply the demand. But this lack of detail is noticeable to me, and prevents me from buying. This is NOT the case for Library Lights. Their labels are gorgeous! The shop is currently only in pre-sale mode at the moment. But they are hosting a rep search and I can’t wait put my entry into the running! All the best to this new shop! I foresee great things heading your way!

The Melting Library  to continue with the bookish candle theme, The Melting Library put out a sampler subscription this week. For February, the theme is A Court of Mist and Fury … so this was a MUST buy for me. I believe March’s theme is Beauty and the Beast .. That sampler will be perfect for the premier of the live action film!

And there you have it! Hope you enjoyed this weekly feature and I would love to hear what you stumbled across or read this week.
